Etsy Spotlight: Geeky Decals

Alright fellow Mac owners/lovers, I'm about to let you in on my absolute favorite Etsy shop out there.

It is seriously THE BEST. When I bought my Macbook Pro Retina Display for school last summer, I bought a geeky decal right after. There are so many options that it can be slightly overwhelming, but because I'm such a big Harry Potter fan, my pick was a no brainer:

The shop is full of great decals, and they sell them for computers, iPhones, and iPads, with themes ranging from TV shows, movies, music, puns, to art. The best part is their price! The Harry Potter one I purchased was only $4.50, and most of them are priced around that. This makes them an easy treat for yourself or for a friend.

Sometimes it's fun to be geeky ;)

Etsy Spotlight: Girl's Day Out

Almost every Saturday morning, I go to the Downtown Charlottesville Farmer's Market - aka the cutest place in the world. There are a ton of local vendors there, selling everything from fresh granola to beautiful dahlias. Most of the merchandise is food or beverages, but there are a couple of booths that sell children's clothes, rocking chairs, and my personal favorite... jewelry.

As soon as I arrive to the farmer's market, I beeline to the Mudhouse coffee booth and score a free cup. Last week, they were selling a dry roast produced on a microfarm in Honduras that was raspberry flavored, and I think it was love at first sip. After this trip, I head straight for the Girls Day Out booth.

I bought these two bracelets to join my arm party family to add a vintage flair to my style when I'm feeling bold.

My mom bought this necklace for me when she was in town for Parent's Weekend in September. It's so cute, and matches everything!

I have never gone to this booth without opening up my wallet and buying some sort of trinket, but I am proud to say it is not always for myself! I bought my mom a pair of earrings there for her birthday in October, and my friend Courtney a bracelet just for fun. They really do have the cutest jewelry, and it's not too expensive - definitely an ideal price for birthday or Christmas gifts for friends/mothers - They rarely have a price tag over $30.

And the great news is, they have an Etsy shop! Click here to see. Here's a collection of my favorite online offers from Girl's Day Out:

You definitely have to make sure to check up on them periodically, because their inventory is constantly changing with new arrivals!

Icebreakers

Hmmm... I'm still feeling a little new to this, and I feel like we are still in the getting-to-know-you-but-not-quite-friends stage of the blogging relationship, so I've decided to do dive right in and unveil myself to you, my beloved readers.

I am extremely quirky. This becomes painstakingly obvious as soon as I meet someone.

Double joints, left-handedness, the ability to recognize any font on the spot, a super strange laugh, the tendency to blurt out movie or book quotes mid-conversation, clumsiness; you name it, I have it.

I love to paint, doodle, craft, or create digital prints for my Etsy store { click here to view my shop}. I mostly use quotes, song lyrics, or scripture for my artwork, but I also enjoy painting landscapes as well. I also love love love to play piano. It absolutely kills me not being around a piano while I'm at school!

^This is something I painted last summer!
It is currently hanging in my dorm room above my bed.

I love music, especially artists that know their piano skills (Regina Spektor is PERFECT.) One of my favorite things about Charlottesville is their music scene, and I absolutely love going to concerts here! I think I've already seen about 5-10 groups since I moved here in August.

Here's what I'm loving this month! Follow me on Spotify to get the playlist:

^The last one is so November. Gets me every time! Listen here
I attached a live version so you can see how amazingly gifted she is!
Ugh, I just love it. I saw this performed live last year in Tampa -
most amazing live performance I have ever seen.

Eek, that's it for now! What are you listening to this month?
