F. Scott Fitzgerald is a Genius

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”

-F. Scott Fitzgerald

If this isn't right I don't know what is. This year was the first time I have lived through a real fall, from beginning to end. And though the season is not technically over yet according to the calendar, I am starting to feel an extra bit of chill in the air and most of the leaves here at UVa have fallen, leaving behind barren and sad-looking trees.

Fall is my favorite season by far. I love the contrast between the warm colors of the leaves with the cool, breezy air. And let's be honest, fall clothes are the best. You don't look like a marshmallow, and you're also not sweating to death and having to wash your chino shorts every single day. It's a beautiful in between stage of festive colors, boots, socks, vests, jackets, etc.

Here's a selection of my favorite pictures from the very beginning of this season that I took:

I guess the next thing I have to look forward to is the snow! Eeeek!

PS - is anyone else going to see the Hunger Games tonight? I can't wait!

Do you miss the leaves?
